Large Frames
THE SUCCESS WE EXPERIENCE IN OUR LARGE FRAME CELLS COMBINE ALL OUR WIRE FORMING CAPABILITIES IN A SINGLE CELL WITH ROBOTIC WELDING AS WELL AS ROBOTS FOR HANDLING THE FRAMES THROUGH THE CELL. THIS RESULTS IN COST COMPETITIVE DIMENSIONALLY CONSISTENT LARGE WIRE FRAMES.
WIRE FORMING CAPABILITIES
- WIRE DIAMETERS FROM .125” TO .625” COLD DRAWN STEEL 1008 OR 1018
- TOLERANCES - +/-.030” LINEAR, ANGLES +/- 1°
- WIRE STRAIGHTNESS +/-.030” PER LINEAR FOOT
- CHAMFERS +/- .030” X 30 OR 45 DEG.
- BEND DIAMETER IS RECOMMENDED TO BE EQUAL TO OR LARGER THAN THE WIRE DIAMETER
- FOR BENDS CLOSER THAN .500” APART A SECONDARY PRESS OPERATION MAY BE REQUIRED
- IF BENDS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WITHIN .500” FROM THE END OF THE WIRE A SECONDARY TRIM OPERATION WILL BE NEEDED
ROBOTIC MIG WELDING
-(METAL INERT GAS – M.I.G.) WELDING IS AN AUTOMATIC OR SEMI-AUTOMATIC ARC WELDING PROCESS
-CONTINUOUS AND CONSUMABLE WIRE ELECTRODE AND A SHIELDING GAS ARE FED THROUGH A WELDING GUN
-DRAWING CALLOUTS SHOULD BE STATED AS A FILLET WELD WITH CALLOUT TO A MINIMUM FILLET SIZE AND MINIMUM LENGTH OF THE FILLET
-MIG WELDING RECOMMENDED FOR MOST WIRE FORM APPLICATIONS
CROSS WELD
-TWO METAL SURFACES ARE JOINED AT A CROSS SECTION ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER
